The SIS is the safety means which facilitates the descent of passengers into the Zodiac canopied Liferafts or Open Reversible Inflatable Liferafts.

For The Low Freeboard Vessels
The Zodiac SIS has been designed to provide a safer means of evacuation for passenger vessels where the height of the evacuation deck is lower than 3.80 m (so far).

 

With Easy and Low Cost Installation Packed in a valise stored in a suitable location close to the evacuation station, the Zodiac SIS only needs two simple fixing points on the deck to be installed.

Easy To Use
The system is designed for maximum efficiency with minimum effort. The slides are so light weight that they may easily be positioned in the liferafts or disconnected from the ships. Moreover, the Zodiac SIS has straps on its sides to help people climb back into the ship.

Additional Floating Device
In an emergency situation, the Zodiac SIS can also be used as an efficient complementary means of rescue.

DBC Evacuation Slide Systems (ESS)

Specifically designed for Low Freeboard Vessels, this combination Slide and Platform is stowed in an innovative space-saving container and provides safe, speedy evacuation for all passengers - young, old and the physically challenged! View model information below.

Three models of the system are available for vessels with freeboard heights from 3 metres (10 feet) to 3.65 metres (12 feet). For use in the United States platform sizes are either 50 or 100 passengers; for use in Canada sizes are either 75 or 150 passengers.

Product Features Efficient Innovative and slimline stowage container: width: 1360mm (53.5") x height: 1220mm (48") x depth: 380mm (15") Enables deck space to be maximized. Easy deployment: Simply pull the safety pin and lift the release bar; the slide and platform automatically deploy and inflate within 45 seconds in most conditions.   Accessible The release bar and entry is mounted at deck level and designed to facilitate both able-bodied and physically challenged passengers.   Cost Effective Existing DBC platforms can be modified to operate in conjunction with the slide system. Ideal for new and retrofit applications.   Space Saving Provides increased deck space. Existing DBC platforms can be stowed on their own (without the slide) and deployed from this container. Mini-slide also available in separate portable valise unit.
